When Clouds Collide

Can love survive the storms

When Clouds Collide

The clouds collide

and the sky opens wide

lightning cracks across the air

love dies in the storm.

Raindrops fall like shattered glass

we hold nothing but echoes

the wind whispers our names

then takes them away.

Hands that once touched

now drift in the dark

hearts beat alone

and the storm swallows the warmth.

Thunder calls for memories

we cannot answer

the world bends

and silence stretches beyond reach.

No sun breaks through

no rainbow waits

just the collision

of what we were.

The storm leaves nothing

but the ache

and the thought

that love once lived here.

One must still remember so that it's not repeated. There are some who seem to meet in a storm and stay. Good job.
