Wheel of the Year

Elemental Seasons and the Circle of Life

By Maia Gadwall the metAlchemistPublished 3 years ago 1 min read
Wheel of the Year

Spring wrenches new life

From beneath the frozen earth

Pretty flowers bloom

*

Summer sets aflame

That which is dry and barren

Petals wither, burnt

*

Autumn winds carry

Seeds plucked from the ashen fruit

The stem remembers

*

Winter floods the soil

Rains quench inherited thirst

As new roots take hold

About the Creator

Maia Gadwall the metAlchemist

I fell in love with speculative fiction and poetry many years ago, but I have precious little time to write any. Then, I went crazy and started a cult called metAlchemy, or meta alchemy. I revere energy of all brands, esp. good, kind chaos.

hey...this is a very commendable set of poems on a theme! smooth, flowing imagery that relates and captures the essence and vigor of your intent. I especially like "Spring wrenches..." a fantastic image!
