What We Used to Be

The questions about our loss

By Shanon Angermeyer NormanPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

When did we lose what we used to be?

Was it when you were away from me?

Was it when I changed becauase I was alone?

Was it when neither of us had a home?

Where did we lose what we used to be?

Was it where we lost all that we had materialistically?

Was it where we had made memories that faded out?

Was it where we were home without a doubt?

How did we lose what we used to be?

Was it by wanting everything we did see?

Was it by ingratitude or insensitivity?

Was it by acting so carelessly?

Why did we lose what we used to be?

Was it because you were as stubborn as me?

Was it because I simply couldn't understand

that there is a difference between a woman and a man?
