When I was small, I buried dreams of gold,
Hoping for riches, treasures to unfold.
I thought money-trees would rise so tall,
Bringing me wealth, answering my call.
But the soil stayed quiet, no sprouts took flight,
No signs of fortune, no shimmer of light.
I wondered where my dreams had fled,
Why the seeds I planted lay cold and dead.
I waited and hoped, my heart still naive,
Trusting in magic, too young to grieve.
I didn’t know then what seeds should be sown,
Or how life rewards what’s rightly grown.
The years passed swiftly, the seasons spun,
With each new turn, more lessons begun.
One rainy day, with a silent plea,
I planted beans where gold used to be.
I left them there, forgot my deed,
And time moved on with gentle speed.
Then one evening, I stopped in surprise—
Green shoots were growing before my eyes.
They stood like banners, so proud, so new,

A tender gift from the earth’s deep blue.
The vines stretched wide, the flowers did shine,
Beans hung like jewels on a leafy line.
Their harvest was plenty, their reach was wide,
Shared with the world, no need to hide.
The earth gave freely, her love so vast,
A lesson learned from the mistakes of the past.
Now I know wealth isn’t found in greed,
It’s grown through care, through every good deed.
So plant with kindness, let goodness show,
And life will flourish wherever you go.
