What We Are

Let them talk

Maybe I'm selfish

To want to preserve our memory

I want us to have a legacy

I wanted us to have longevity

I'll always want you

Maybe you'll always want me

Sorry, that's just my insecurities creeping through

Opinions will only get you so far

Lucky I know exactly what you and I are

Perfect

Never subpar

Let them talk

because I know exactly what we are

You are my one wish

I want to preserve that look you do every time you look at me

I want us to have stability

I know we could have everything

I'll always want you

Maybe you'll always want me

Sorry, that's my insecurities creeping through again

Opinions will only get you so far

Lucky I know exactly what you and I are

Perfect

Never subpar

Let them talk

Because I know exactly what we are

This one could easily be turned into a great song too.

I love the repetition, I think I remember reading you like to write your poems like songs right? Could I read this poem on my podcast?
