What was in the heart stayed in the heart
We both loved, but we didn't know, while everyone else knew.
She knew the truth,
I knew the truth too.
Everyone knew about our restlessness,
everyone understood our love,
but neither you nor I realized it.
We both wanted to say so much,
but trembling voices held us back.
Neither you nor I knew
that we would be separated like this.
We both wanted to meet,
but neither of us knew who should take the first step.
Our relationship remained incomplete,
its ending unknown to both you and me.
