an invitation back in time but time and time again
I find that time is what I lack
a sensation here and suddenly I’m questioning the when
and whether it was the time or the fear of coming back
the best years of my life, huh? I’d like to think it true
and it is, for the most part, yes
even stressed tears, naive eyes — those included too?
while I mourn the way I could’ve lived, I don’t think I love it any less
the less you know the better. live a life that’s long —
well, as long as I’ll allow —
but rest assured this letter isn’t meant to steer you wrong
even as a ghost you can guess what's next since I (we) write about it now...
a letter to you from you-know-who about you-know-when

- I hope you liked the piece ~ 💐

As a teenager, I can totally relate to your fear of living out the 'best years', but the poem inspired me to love them and enjoy them all the same, however they may be. Thank you for writing this masterpiece!
That was pretty damn good!
