What’s Inside
( N.M. Original Poem and Image)

See the open door
Light illuminates the floor
The quiet sound of a jazz guitar
Play the melodies of falling stars
Familiar smells wafting in the air
A meal prepared by ones that care
For home is neither here nor there
But a place one can reach from anywhere
What lies inside that is the key
Where ones you love wish to stay and be
Be they cat or a dog, man or wife,
Even friends gained through living life
This place the heart designates
Where with the mind it resonates
Calming peace you will find
For inside’s where home awaits
