What Makes Me Happy

Celebrating Life's Simple Joys

By Chiamaka Maclorita Published about a year ago 1 min read

**What Makes Me Happy**

In the morning light, a golden hue,

A quiet cup of coffee, steaming new,

The first sip warms my heart like a friend,

In simple moments, joy begins to blend.

A walk through the park, where shadows play,

Leaves crunching softly beneath my way,

Children’s laughter, bright and free,

Echoes of pure, unfiltered glee.

The comfort of a cozy, well-loved book,

Pages whispering secrets with every look,

A story unfolding, both strange and grand,

Each chapter a journey, hand in hand.

Time spent with friends, both old and true,

Shared stories and laughter, a vibrant view,

Their presence a gift, a cherished embrace,

In their company, I find my place.

At day’s end, when the stars start to glow,

A peaceful moment, letting worries go,

A sigh of contentment, a heart set free,

In life’s little joys, that’s where I’ll be.

So here’s to the moments, simple and bright,

That fill my days with pure delight,

In everyday wonders, both big and small,

That’s what makes me happy, after all.

Until next time, have a wonderful day.
