What is lost never was

Ignorance isn't always bliss

By Chris SantiagoPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

I miss the feeling of being loved

whether it existed or never was

how I long for that divine bliss

so many times has it slipped

through my hands, ripped

away like so many broken promises

why is something so simple

beyond my reach to achieve

to manifest in truth or believed

what am I to do without you

now I realize it's nothing new

to wish for something so true

why daily have I cried

so much is naught but lies

so many tears for all those years

the realization of all my fears

how do you bury whats loosed

so intangible as this truth

About the Creator

Chris Santiago

I've always found a bit peace and release in putting word to written medium. I'm by no means an accomplished wordsmith but I find enjoyment in it. My love for writing started from world building that being a dungeon master provided.
