What is it about Halloween that people go crazy over?
An October Series

October for me harbors a lot of memories, as you can tell from my past posts. October can mean a lot to different people; however this is what October means to me- NOW 2020.
October, filled with changes
Leaves change color,
Orange like the sunsets
Slowly you see the greens turn to reds and oranges.
You start to smell the weather changes, the faint smell of apple pie, pumpkin pie.
Cravings start to set in.
It’s the softness of socks, and the warmth from my blanket.
And the hot tea is sitting next to me.
How Quaint.
Rainy, cloudy days approach fast,
I sit in paradise as I enjoy the moment of peace.
October used to mean to mean;
Walking with my mother to school.
The sun is hiding, the leaves are falling.
The smell of fall seeps through and finds our noses.
Leaves have completely fallen from the trees, the now lie on the ground.
The streets are covered in the freshly fallen leaves.
The smell of October was different then,
I couldn’t smell it yet.
