Is it more than words in a book or tome?
Is it anything that makes you feel at home?
Is it when the words can wander and roam?
Is it crafted or off the top of the dome?
Can it shine like freshly polished chrome?
Is it fantastical like a wizard, elf, or gnome?
Is it hard like rock or soft like foam?
Can it be weak and brittle like loam?
Is it useful like a fork, match, or comb?
Is it chanted and hummed like an om?
The honest truth for what is a poem,
Is I haven't fucking clue.
