What I would tell myself

Things I would tell myself in my youth

10s

Love yourself

When you have strived and achieved and done everything you could

and feel an emptiness in your soul at the end of the day,

tug at your arms at your sides and

tell yourself YOU ARE LOVED

20s

Stay with him

He is your anchor

stay tethered to him

because you don't know what lies ahead

the pull of the unknown and all the what if's are a mirage

because he is the one who enables you to venture out and soar

30s

Listen to that silent, soft voice in your heart

don't listen to the cacophony of thoughts outside

they will only bring falsehood, betrayal, deceit and blood

Don't be swayed back and forth

you know your own truth.
