What I Want To Say

I can’t look at you and say what I feel.

The hurt I want to scream out,

the love that I want to express,

and everything that I need from you.

I try speaking, but the words don’t come out.

Even if I did, would you understand? Or would it be another argument leading to me conceding?

So, I am silent. I smile. I laugh. I bury it all just so I am not the burden to you,

but at the cost of my heart.

I want to say what I feel, and yet,

I can’t even begin to comprehend these conflicting emotions.

I wonder if the right words will find me, or will I remain an empty dictionary.
