Robert Fulghum once wrote “All I Really Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten”.

Well I don’t know about you, but I can hardly remember a thing I learned at age five or six in Kindergarten. However at age 59, I would like to offer these life lessons of mine since that time in Kindergarten many moons ago:

1. God, with his son Jesus, is with us for a reason, if you feel unbearable stresses of the day bearing down on your shoulders, share some of that load with God. He has the strength to help you carry the weight of your world.

2. If your an empath; always loving and caring for your parents, siblings, spouse, children, friends, and neighbors, don’t forget to care for yourself. It is difficult to offer wellness to others if you are unwell yourself.

3. Try to bring some joy with you in all you do. Life is short, thus consider living each day as if it's the last. After all, it might be your last.

4. The Tiger Scout Motto, ‘Search, Discover, and Share’ will not only feed your curiosity, but that of your family, friends, and neighbors as well. Share your light and help make the world a brighter place.

5. Perfection is a precursor to perambulation. Start with the something and let the diversity of others help you move that something into something special. We just have to remember to include them.

6. If you have the means, practice charity in your life. Tip well and donate to the causes that appeals to you as the extra money will likely bring a smile to the face of the recipients; as they are likely toiling for making a living much more than you.

7. Give compliments freely & generously as your kindness will often overcome blindness of others. And if are the receipt of a compliment, never turn it down, just say "Thank You” and share your pearly whites.

8. Mistakes are opportunities for learning and retakes. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Rebound and recovery is the art of repairing anything broken. And we learn and grow the most during the time when life struggles are the hardest.

9. The love we give becomes the community we live. Work hard to live a colorful and courageous life, valuing the diversity of all those around us. You may just be the glue that transforms a subdivision into a neighborhood.

10. If you are having trouble with the Golden rule [“In everything, do to others what you would have them do to you.”], this is because you, as I, are only human. We all need help and reminders of the rules of life we choose to life by.

What would be your add (or subtraction) to a meaningful, colorful, and courageous life?

You share quite a lot and we must give what we have and do to God for he will share with us what we need to do,
