Sleepless, small hours, anxiety.
I entreat cotton, hair and teeth,
Let their sounds placate my agony.
Eager earworms hatch internally.
No respite, nor moment's peace, from the
Constant, interminable, high-pitched
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
