What has been going on with us?

I don't have the foggiest idea what has been going on with us

Or then again why you have dismissed.

Obviously you are allowed to do as you like,

Be that as it may, first I have a comment.

To me it had appeared we could continue until the end of time,

So close were our hearts, and calm,

So much did we share, yet the words won't ever waver,

So I thought as time did however it wanted.

Anything I did that has made you despondent,

Or on the other hand am that isn't as you would prefer,

Or then again would be were I to get back to your graces,

Or on the other hand will not be assuming I am supplanted:

I believe you should realize that your friendship is something

I treasure, and wouldn't presently end.

Assuming that you might want to go to embrace me,

You'd find in me still an old friend
