Lying on the beach,

The sea swallowing my heart whole,

While the tears flow,

Trying to fill the empty hole,

Crying silently;

As I watch you leave,

So broken and suffocated,

I just can't breathe'

These tears might mend my broken heart,

But my heart won't ever mend now we're apart,

I have no more to say,

Only one more question remains;

What happened to my heart?

Why did you break it?

Still searching for answers to my unanswered questions,

Trying to mend a shattered dream that will never come back together

again,

Please, tell me;

What happened to my broken heart?

Why did you break it?

You only stare at me in silence,

And I realize,

The answer I'll never know.

    Noo! The end was so painful, yet so relatable.

  • It sucks when we don't get closure. Loved your poem!

  • Relieving by writing such poems is very nice.
