What Dreams May Come

A Poem

Life is not a fairytale

It’s scary as hell

You can never tell

What’s around the corner

Taught to believe in fantasies

Of how we wish things to be

Hoping for all good things

Having us disappointed in reality

Tsk tsk

For nothing is without risk

Every shot you don’t take

Is one you have missed

Aim for the center

When something you want enters your life

And you may have your wishes granted

A tree can only grow if it’s planted
