What do you write

When you don't know

what to write?

What do you write

When you don't know

How to write

What you need to say

Sometimes...

You

just

need

To

Give it time

Let it ferment

Like grapes

In wine-making

Before they become

Chianti

Let it fester

In your mind

Like thoughts

Before they become

Ideas

Don't force it

It will be done

when it's done

You will know

When it's ready

Until then

Relax

  • Yes, that's exactly what I do. I just let it marinate or stew in my head until it's ready!

  • Why, I have no "ideas" what you're talking about, Paul. So I guess it's a good thing you wrote this.

Yup. Nailed it. That's me all the way. Yesterday, I was trying to think of something to write about in an ode (not to mention trying to figure wtf an ode is). Last night it hit right in the forehead and I wrote in 5 mins. Mind you, I'm still not sure if it qualifies as ode. Whatever.
