You may think I do not mourn you
You may think I do not care
You may think it doesn't matter
When I reach and you're not there.
-
You may think that it is easy
You may think that I am fine
You may think I'm past regret
When our connection you decline.
-
You may think that I've forgotten
You may think my love is gone
You may think it won't impact you
When my time on earth is gone.
-
You may think you do not mourn me
You may think you do not care.
You may think that it won't matter
When you reach and I'm not there
-
-
Maybe you'll be right.

Oh my goodness, that last line. Brilliant yet devastating. Well done.

I really think the last line, it pulls everything together. Great poem.
Aww 🥺 love the strong emotion in this poem. Excellent writing.
The repetitive language really added to the overall impact!! Great work Judey!
I think...this is one of your best pieces of work.
