What Do You Have To Say For Yourself?

a song & a plea to my undiagnosed chronic pain.

Verse 1:

Do you have something to say?

It must be important because you won't go away

Could you at least tell me your name,

And how long to plan to stay?

Because I don't feel like myself when you're around

I've learned my lesson,

or I guess I thought I had by now

Chorus:

Do you want me to be thankful?

Do you want me to be patient?

Do you want me to say sorry

for all the time I've wasted

Hating my body, shaming myself?

Trust me I'm sorry

Is there anything else?

What do you have to say for yourself?

Verse 2:

Do you want me to get good

at feeling alone and misunderstood?

Do you want me to get comfortable

with misery

So the good times feel more like bliss to me

I think I've got it down,

or at least I thought I had by now

Chorus:

Do you want me to be thankful?

Do you want me to be patient?

Do you want me to say sorry

for all the time I've wasted

Hating my body, shaming myself?

Trust me I'm sorry

Is there anything else?

What do you have to say for yourself?

Bridge:

I'm all ears

Just tell me before I break

I'm all tears

and have been every single day

Sinve you've been here

It's time for you to go

Is there anything else you want me to know?

Chorus:

Do you want me to be thankful?

Do you want me to be patient?

Do you want me to say sorry

for all the time I've wasted

Hating my body, shaming myself?

Trust me I'm sorry

Is there anything else?

What do you have to say for yourself?

Pain pain pain go away if you really have nothing to say. Love this song so relatable, I know I don't take care of my body as great and probably why I be in pain at a very young age.
