What colour am I?

Reflections of a rainbow

Today I’m feeling blue,

It’s not a thing I try to hide,

I go with it, I ride, I ride, I fall and get back up again.

Today I’m feeling blue.

Today I’m feeling pink,

Or in the pink as oft it’s known,

I laugh, I smile, I sing aloud, and loudly I decry I’m proud to put aside all pain.

Today I’m feeling pink.

Today I’m feeling black,

A storm cloud circles all around,

Don’t cross me as I’ll stand my ground, and ground you cover without cause will meet with my disdain.

Today I’m feeling black.

Today I’m feeling peach.

I’m peachy keen, I’m full of buzz,

I’m doing things that no one does, it doesn’t matter why or where or who or what or when.

Today I’m feeling peach.

Today I’m feeling lost,

What colour am I? Every one.

I’m like a rainbow, colour wheel, chameleon to how I feel, I don’t need judgement, boxing in, my colour is not in my skin, but in my ever-changing mind, the palette often re-designed, the beauty in the subtle hues dictated by the path we choose, unique to me and life so far as that’s what makes us who we are, we will not change we will not win until we all see what’s within and take the focus OFF our skin.

And then I watch the news.

Today I’m feeling blue.
