I hope you find peace and someone to hold you when the grief settles in, wish you well, wish you love, wish you joy;
I want for you a warm bed, warm meal, warm lighting the way you like, every comfort you worry you cannot guarantee yourself;
I pour these wishes into poems and postcards and teacups, swallow them hot and slow and sad,
knowing full well you can never accept them, never let them in, let anyone in.
You offer no kindness or care my way, kick and spit and yell your curses, twisting my truths past recognition,
and my concerns turn quiet, present but silent as I start to let them go.

Oh this is just perfect. It so accurately depicts that unrequited feeling and how different people can react to things so differently. This feels so much like a poem I have been trying to write for ages but haven't managed to capture properly. So well done!
Awe bless
