Walking on a path lined with trees
But one stands out as you pass its leaves
It welcomes you closer with a branch laid out
Perfect to sit and swing and climb about
You think for a moment if you should stay
Or let it pass by as you go on your way
Its welcome is too overpowering for you to move on though
So you stop and with a leap you are on top of the branch the tree had showed
The perfect seat to rest and wait
You feel so at peace and everything that once was, is gone as of late
There are more branches around and above you, should you climb more?
The branches open up to welcome you once more
You climb and climb until there’s no more branches to clutch
The sight you see, you didn’t realize you were missing so much
Everything below is smaller than before
You feel as if you could fly and just soar
The cool wind whistling past you
Swaying the branches around you
The sun starts to set you know you must go
But not before recalling that desire to know
