Carrying the weight of the world

I sat

But this time I wasn’t able to get back up

Slowly turning left and right

I locked eyes with many

But they looked away

I called the only name I knew

No response

I called the only name I knew

No response

I called the only name I knew

No response

Carrying the weight of the world

With no help from the people in it

Sometimes life gets so heavy that even those that seem the strongest need a hand. It's a strange sight to see someone who typically exudes strength calling out for help. We stare baffled at their moment of weakness and ultimately allow them to falter. Assuming that they always have the energy and willpower it takes to navigate through life.
