My name is Raine

Like the weather and I do in fact like the weather

Clouds of gray and skies of black

Cut through only by golden strikes of lightning

A unique name for a unique me

Gloomy but bold, dark yet light

Crashing through my life and washing things anew

I suppose the name really does fit

Because I’ve always been a little blue

Call it my own personal thunderstorm

But I have begun to find the warm, golden light

I am so much more than rain

I am sunshine and breezes and wildflowers

I am not just rainy

I am a rainbow
