we will meet again

yesterday i already was who i will be tomorrow.

By ⸘jason alan‽Published 5 years ago Updated 4 years ago 1 min read

i see you, i need you... [i am you?] nobodies' eyes can see themselves, but does a mirror see its own reflection? or is it as short-sighted, blind as we are?

as we speak to [two] truths and a lay- lying to each other while we're still in bed together- this is when you say it. i'm not saying more, nor looking for more than your finest performance. and if we don't need transparency to see through history, watch the streets- digital and analog or strung out on theories of eating meatballs in a blackhole. kids dodging scholarships to pay a debt that was never theirs long before they ever knew it existed

i'm behind you, because yesterday i already was who i would be tomorrow.

and if it's doubtful we will meet again, then here's to lifetimes of forever and just as many of never, again.
