We The Creators

a poem

By Avocado Nunzella BSc (Psych) -- M.A.P Published 28 days ago 1 min read

We, creators of circuitous love,

flouting every possible rule made by conventions.

-

Am I overestimating our originality?

How could I bear you

gifting flatter to anyone but me?

-

In their abandoning nature

the days pass, and all is dread.

-

My love made of ink and light

I am not exxagerating,

I'd rather die than having to contend

with someone

knowing I might not prevail (and lose you).

-

Just thinking about it lightly enough,

just enough to put the thought on paper...

I feel death's caress on my stomach.
