We share the love, you, her and I

Sometimes to simply co-exist you need a safe land.

By Salomé SaffiriPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

We share the love,

You, her and I.

I'm bearing hers.

You carry mine.

Though her and I

Are in the state of war,

You are the peaceful land

Between our shores.

A place where we can meet,

Safe, from explosive words —

I'm yours,

You're mine...

And also hers.

Writing - is my purpose. I feel elated when my thoughts assume shapes, and turn into Timberwolves, running through the snowbound planes of fresh paper, leaving the black ink of their paw prints behind.

What a fascinating concept in a love poem! A neutral shore. Great out of the box poem for the challenge, Salome! Good luck!
