We Have to Find Our Own Happiness

We can do it by our mindset change

Had a few cramps,

I would have enjoyed some alone time,

lying on the bed,

reading one of my Kindle books.

But I am a mother of small kids,

that means constant demands—

Give me a bottle of milk.”,

Going bathroom, clean me.”,

Have you seen my painting tools?

He’s not giving me the slime to play.

Can I have some strawberries?

And a hundred other calls,

my brain longs for solitude,

but chaos comes instead.

It is easy to feel irritated,

So, I slipped into the backyard,

to sit in the sun,

to listen to the finches,

rest my eyes on the tranquil Buddha,

smell the mint leaves,

and slowly feel better.

No one is coming

like a knight in shining armor,

we must change our own mindset

and ensure our own happiness.

But I'm sure you still love being a mother no matter what hehehe. Hope you feel better now

Very true, Seema. Moms have to carve their own peace out of the daily grind, just to have any moment of serenity.
