I wrote this as I was watching the chaos on YouTube that is still happening in LA.
I love LA.
We Are the Heartbeat in LA
City of Angels Will Survive

Science carved the stars, built bones and breath
But now they dance to a Piper’s death
Truth traded for a hollow dream
He steps aside as they drown the scream
[Chorus]
But we are the hum behind the walls
The heartbeat echo when reason falls
In the cold, in the silence, we refuse to bend
This is not the end.
It’s where we begin.

Doctors tracing scars into scripts
Turning wounds into warnings
Scars rewritten as signals.
Reading pain like prophecy
Healing marked in silent lines.
Burns turned into battle hymns.

In the dark, in the quiet, we ignite the flame
This is not surrender,
It has been reclaimed.

Los Angeles breathes with rebel light
They stand strong through sleepless nights

They keep the pulse, make sure it survives.

Some of your best work, Vicki!!! What's happening right now should not be happening.There was absolutely no reason to send the National Guard here to California. All of this is a big smoke screen to distract attention away from the theft that is currently going on in the White House. This is a major waste of our tax dollars. Shame on Donald trump.
