We the modern feminine mystics,

We do not need robe and veil to define us,

It is not our image that we present to you,

The silent priestess, walking the halls by candlelight,

It is in the words that we burn into the page,

The songs we sing,

The modalities of expression,

Unearthed and presented from the deepest depths of our soul,

Our words may be mystical and visionary,

Or hard hitting and gritty, striking at the heart of the human experience,

Contemplating our mortality,

Whether we show up in jeans and a t-shirt,

Without makeup, hair up, sleep deprived,

Or in ballgown or vintage dress,

We are letting go of false pretenses,

That we should be recognised for only our beauty,

Breaking down stereotypes of how we should look, speak,

The messages that are acceptable and what is going a little too far,

A little too edgy,

We are here to cross the boundaries,

To find our common compassion as we overcome adversity,

We are the archetypes that break down convention,

To be spiritual does not mean a white robed figure walking in silence through the temple gardens,

She may be laughing too hard in the pub garden,

Exploring the shelves of the local supermarket,

Getting ready for a bbq with her mates,

Tattooed, listening to rock music with the car windows rolled down,

Looks can be deceiving,

Look a little more closely,

Open your heart and feel,

She is a fusion of the sacred and the everyday,

Infusing spirit with the mundane,

Divinity with humanity,

Building a bridge,

Breaking down boundaries,

Collaborating and celebrating,

Until love becomes commonplace,

Truth is accepted in all of its variety,

We are a tribe,

Formed of many different backgrounds, celebrating our diversity,

Standing up for equality,

Where it becomes normality to simply accept all beings unique expression and contribution,

Sometimes the ones you were not expecting,

Have the purest wisdom,

The life experience and humility,

They say never judge a book by its cover,

We are cut from the same cloth,

We are the ancient lineage,

The priestesses, the witches, the poets and visionaries,

Cast in new characters,

A fusion of the ancient world,

Thrown into modern cities,

The goddess in the boardroom,

Ascended masters serving you coffee,

Many roles and faces,

We are not picky,

We will show up at the petrol pump, in the slums, in the most unexpected locations,

We might have a cockney accent,

Or defy the conventions of beauty and disability,

Skin of every colour,

We are a tribe of women,

Blossoming into very different images on the outside,

But beneath it all we are One and the same,

We are the messengers,

The healers,

The world unifiers,

Truth speakers,

Illuminators,

We are the feminine collective,

Letting you know that we have arrived, we are rising,

We are Here.
