We Are Brown

Blue, orange, yellow,

Purple, red, green,

All these colors are present and on occasion seen,

D.I.D. they diagnosed it,

In the voices, I start to drown,

No need to fear them; they are docile beings,

Embedded in the comforting color of brown,

Just by appearance brown doesn’t seem warm,

It takes diving inside,

Reject your judgments and social norms,

Then your eyes will be opened wide,

The multitude of colors you will never see dancing in the mud,

You can always assume they are near, though, when the body is alone,

I would sit in an empty room,

Deep in conversation,

Surrounded by my friends unseen,

Blue, orange, yellow,

Purple, red, and green.
