We Are All Stars...

A poem about life.

We are all stars at night,

Some fleeting, while others burn bright.

We are all grains of sand,

Spread about, covering this land.

Sometimes we pass through shaking fingers as time's running out...

This, my dears, is what being human is all about.

A ticking time bomb, ticking away,

With mouths to feed and bills to pay.

We slave our lives away for the bigger man,

We never escape, even though we believe we can.

Like a hamster on a hamster wheel,

Endless running, with no time to heal -

The wounds scab and bleed,

Yet we bury the seed,

We do the deed,

We feel the need,

With Life, we plead...

We are all stars, regardless of our past scars,

We burn bright with the utmost light

Only to burn out...

And that, is what life is all about...
