Waterfall Wonderland

A journey of the senses

By SannaPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

I immersed my senses in nature

It satiated my soul

I began my journey broken

And completed my journey whole

I felt the soft, damp earth

Disperse under my feet

I listened to the falls

As the water danced to its own beat

I stood at a stream bed

As the water cascaded down

Ice cold drenching my body

As it rushed to the ground

I breathed in the cool crisp air

It smelt like falling rain

I stood in its midst for hours

As the falls flushed away my pain

I stared at my surroundings

Trees hundreds of meters tall

They spent centuries growing

And now they tower over all

Then there's the moss covered stones

They are the brightest green

Once cold, hard and lifeless

Now a mesmorising scene

But the waterfall

Will always be the real star

Submerging myself in its majesty

Is why I walked out this far
