Water Calls

But I Can’t Swim

What is it about water that calms me?

I never learned how to swim

But it feels good to see

Sometimes I wish I could jump in on a whim

Time is not a concept as I stare at the water

No matter if it's light or dark

It can make the outside noise softer

Even in a water park

No I don't know how to fish

Yes I am afraid to get in it

To me, that is a death wish

But I can be in the tub all day and just sit

You can hear the water calls

I love to hear the sound of a waterfall

I try to make a sonnet lol, but I failed. I try again later, have to learn how to create meters within the lines. Anyways thanks for reading.

This is very well written. Simply amazing. I also think the water as a calming and a soothing effect. I personally can sit by the shore staring at the water for hours.
