This is a public service announcement!

Hopefully many lives will be saved

By your heeding this pronouncement

During the COVID pandemic

Almost everyone went by the rules

Hands being washed with soap and water

Was enforced in homes, businesses and schools

Hand sanitizer was utilized

Masks were worn on the face

Years later the rules have slackened

And germs are all over the place

Colds and flue decreased

When most of us complied

With the rules of safety

But now the results seem to be denied

COVID strains continue to rage

Pneumonia and flu abound

Perhaps if we had continued precautions

Not as many germs would be found

Washing hands with soap and water

Still needs to be the norm

Utilizing hand sanitizer

Should not be considered bad form

Children and the elderly are most at risk

Along with those who have chronic diseases

Please be careful to cover your mouths

When you have coughs or sneezes

If you don't believe you are at risk

Please consider the vulnerable among us

Sanitize and wash hands with warm water and soap

For someone you know this will be a plus

Spread the word that covering your mouth

When you cough or sneeze

Will keep you and others healthy

So comply won't you please
