On chilly nights,
My tears fall like snow in flight,
Lonely and bright,
A ceaseless, endless white.
* * *
In the gray of night,
A tiny bird takes to flight,
Hoping for a bite,
Chirping softly out of sight.
* * *
In still winds, so slight,
A hedgehog moves in quiet delight,
Under the tree's moonlit light,
Dreaming in the grass tonight.
