My husband loves me often more than I know I need.
In gentle ways he adores and answers my need.
He speaks of me the way a poet speaks of a muse
Soft and adoring are all the words he will ever use.
It is as if I am the rain washing over his garden
Flowers blooming where land will never freeze, harden.
To others he carries such a champion of my being
And with his eyes, me, I wish I was always seeing
Far he sees greatness, bravery, strength and amaze
There is always beauty of me found in his gaze.
Throughout the week to show his love, little tasks
Are done for me, to help, when no one asks.
He is all that is good in the world, and all that good should be.
And his beauty, his contours, are all my heart shall ever see.
Near to hug and near to protect, are arms strong and sure
Ready to love, ready to laugh, he comes with heart so pure.
And, I wish to love as well as he
Far he does love all of me.
