I want to want you

I want to be what you need

Let myself become putty in your hands

I’ve never let anyone else

Mold me into their image

Not even God

Could make me pay this penance

Who rages when “H”e is ignored

(they)

(she)

(Doesn’t matter who)

I do try

Try not to rage when you ignore me

Try not to rage when you blame me

Try not to scream when you call me defensive

Try not to spit when you won’t apologize because you don’t think you did anything wrong

And are asking for me to apologize for my tongue

Try not to curse when I know it’s not me you’re talking to

But the apparitions of your childhood you see in my face

heartbreak
