Seeking traces of light,

Wandering through shadows,
Seeking traces of light,
Each echo of my heartbeat
A reminder, soft and slight,
Of a longing undefined.
Lost in pieces of myself,
Scattered, waiting, still,
I chased reflections,
Hoping they’d fill
The space where you’d belong.
Only after my soul was whole,
When the quiet settled in,
Did I turn and find you there,
Patient, waiting, love akin
To the calm I’d come to know.
