Waltz With the Cranes

If I were to shout at a peach-tree

What do you think it may say back to me?

Perhaps tell me to pipe down

Stop falling for pipe dreams

Ever greater, ever more

Loves within the cats and dogs

Birds, frogs and chimpanzees

Whirl, the tunes of ecstasy

Like an elephant I reminisce

The souvenirs I still keep

A sea turtle to its home

Always coming back to me

Where is the shame?

Maybe it got lost in the mail, too?

As I waltz with the cranes

Dodge the snakes and kangaroos

I’ve been waiting on the jazz

No kiss goodbye, the days of the blues

I want the sunshine and nirvana

The savanna's golden hues

Skinny dipping with the monkey’s in Cancun

I’d rather be

High as a hawk, doves in a breeze

I believe I’ve found a friend in this peach-tree
