Walk, don't run
Meander, don't look for the shortcut
There is so much to see, do, and experience
Under the sun
Touch the grass
Let the dewdrops coat your skin
Don't be afraid to slow right down
Take delight
Enjoy your food
Don't just see it as a race
The finish will be better
When reached slowly
Actually listen
(note to myself, as much as anyone else)
Don't waste time always speaking
Mouth closed, ears open
Savour the losses and the gains
Tribute the happiness and the pain
Weather the storm
Learn the lessons
Live well
Life is a series of unfortunate events
And some truly memorable, magical ones
Don't forget
Don't run, walk.

I love the message behind this poem, "take your time enjoy the journey, it's not a race". "Make time for the simple things in life." So well said Paul!!
Wonderful and inspirational. Well done.
''Weather the storm, Learn the lessons'' (red heart) ''The finish will be better, When reached slowly'' (red heart) ''Touch the grass, Let the dewdrops coat your skin'' (red heart) and all the other wonderful lines. There are seriously so much life lessons to learn from this piece, absolutely loved this one!
In the rush of everything, we often forget to take the time to enjoy the things around us. Lovely poem! 🍩🥐
More sage counsel, beautifully written. And "A Series of Unfortunate Events" is what my son & I read together when it took so long for the next "Harry Potter" book to come out. Memories, worth lingering over.
This is how I live my life, and I wish I would’ve known to do it when I was much younger. Every word of this is gold. 👏🏼
nice your writing skills are on next level I will support u! I will be grateful if u visit my profile🙌👍
Such sage advice for this high-speed modern life. From my years in a Buddhist monastery, I remember a plaque on a bench, which turned a well known saying on its head: ‘Don’t just do something, sit there!’ Wonderful poem, Paul 💕🙂
Grampap told me we have one mouth and two ears, so use the proportionately. (He used smaller words. I'd tell you what they were... but I wasn't listening.)
Lovely, hopeful, and touching. Nice one, Paul!
Yes. Like modern life, this is goodish.
