waking up to the roar of car engines

a poem

when the violence of the day

came in full force

I was relentless

imitation of music

mauling the cat

there is nothing else here

just pulling your brain out like a rotten tooth

and dragging it like a corpse

it’s the worse way to die

one car chirps like a cricket

another one buzzes

like thousands of planes

at least

horn used in abundance

every minute and every hour

day or night

it’s just not right

accompanied by the music blasting

from upgraded speakers

to sound like from a nightclub

an extension of their Saturday drunken visuals

kids jumping through puddles

they have a better time

than me here

curled up in a ball on the floor, thinking

where will this autistic ball land

I always make sure it’s not on my lap

in this bizarre ambient
