Wake Up

We live in a world,

Full of beauty and grace,

But also of pain,

And a frantic pace.

We rush through our days,

Without a moment to spare,

Forgetting to breathe,

And to simply be aware.

We forget to look,

At the wonders around,

To cherish the moments,

And to hear the sound.

We forget to care,

For the earth and its life,

For the oceans, the forests,

And to end the strife.

So let us wake up,

To the world we call home,

To cherish and protect it,

And to never again roam.

For this world is a gift,

A treasure we must keep,

And only with love,

Can we make it complete.
