You, my darling

I always wanted you

I was willing to wait for you

Like a kid waiting in line

For their turn to go on the merry-go-around

I was waiting for you

Like one waits for the snow

To fall down

I was waiting for you

Like how we wait for the rain

To stop pouring

I waited and waited for you

Days, months, years

I don’t care how long it’s been

Just until you’re here again

So I can hold you once more

And to tell you how long I waited to see you

And how much I love you.
