Waiting

Whittling

Why do I keep on waiting

Whittling time,

Each curl a dime

For every rhyme

I spend debating;

Will he ever burn the same

Can he feel the shame

Does he taste the blame

In the font of my name

Is it ignorance or arrogance

Or a stupid fucking school dance

Around the aching point.

The breaking point

The ground is kinda quaking point.

Let's blow this joint

Or smoke it—

My brain, we know it's

Broken

That part was not

Unspoken

Just swept under the rug,

Nice and snug

Pull the plug

I'm drowning.

Stroke that brow

You're frowning

Hold up bitch

I'm crowning

Birth a new reality

Totality—

It just takes a fucking sec.

I'm not asking for your beck

And call

Your total fall

Just a feather,

A seek peek at the leather

Of your hands

Place them on my waist

Until she understands

That you give each breath

To kindle her demands.

You're frowning

But she understands

She'd take her time

Carve out the prime

And tuck you in the middle

She'd give the rest

Perhaps her best

So you could join the riddle

That's why I keep on waiting

My whittled time

Worth every dime

If only for a moment.
