Watch a wild flower wilt away...
Luster proud petals now parched peeling paint.
Stalks, stooping, sweeping stiffened grass
Hungry for a breath of warmth, a touch of summer.
I too, a bit of revival, a touch of softening on this cold, cold day
Of wilted, parched lips, skin- peeling paint and heart waiting for summer...

Lovely work! I long for summer too! :)))
This is truly beautiful and brings out the feeling so well!
Very well written! I loved this!!!
This is such a lovely little piece—wildflowers and hearts both just waiting for a bit of summer magic. The imagery hits just right—parched, peeling, and hopeful all at once. You captured that cold-day longing so beautifully!😊
So lovely
