Voodoo Dolls

... Needles and Pins... Oh My!

By David IrelandPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

Oh, it’s Satan's Day

When you lose your faith

In the folk that close around you

Oh, they smile and preach

With homilies

But the wheels that grind can't touch you

So it’s rotting bones and fetid stones

And the devil’s clones

In the dark wood

And the rooks and the crows

And the crooks and crones…

Seated on deception’s throne

I should have bought the voodoo dolls

To get me through the storms and squalls

Should have dove those needles hard

Deep inside your traitors hearts

I should have bought the voodoo dolls

Vooooo Dooooo

Vooooo Dooooo

Vooooo Dooooo Do do do…

Oh it’s Saviours Day

When you lose your way

Among the he haw folk that surround you

Oh They sing and dance

With their dirty hands

And the chords of dissonant sounds

But karma, oh karma

Is stronger than you

Stronger than you or I

Read and weep, crawl and creep

But you will not escape the all-seeing eye

I should have bought those voodoo dolls

To get me through the storms and squalls

Should have dove those needles hard

Deep inside your traitor's hearts

I should have bought the voodoo dolls

Vooooo Dooooo

Vooooo Dooooo Vooooo Dooooo Do do do…
